Transportation: Round-trip shuttle buses between Tai Po Market MTR Station and Sha Lo

 Day Tour

Date: 14 Dec, 2024 (Saturday)
Time: Morning session: 09:30 - 12:30 or
Afternoon session: 13:30 - 16:30 (including transportation time)

Content:
  • Appreciate the ecologically important streams, learn about the interesting wetland flora and fauna
  • Visit Grade 2 historic buildings and former terraced fields, understand the traditional Hakka way of life
  • Learn about the threats to and conservation of Sha Lo Tung
  • Visit restored wetlands, understand the restoration works and their importance

 Night Tour

Registration for the night tour has already ended. A new round of activities will be held in the summer of 2025. Please stay tuned for updates on the website.
Time: 18:30 - 21:30 (including transportation time)

Content:
  • Explore the wetland and learn about interesting nocturnal ecology in Sha Lo Tung at night
  • Observe nocturnal amphibians and reptiles that inhabit in Sha Lo Tung
  • Visit restored wetlands, understand the restoration works and their importance
Important Notes:
  • Participants should be aged 8 or above.
  • Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adult.
  • At most 2 participants can be registered in a single application.
  • Further event details will be provided upon confirmation of registration.
  • The organizer reserves the right to final acceptance of applicants.
  • After the registration is accepted, if the applicant wishes to withdraw from the event, their companion(s) (if any) will also be withdrawn.
