Plants

There are more than 400 plant species in Sha Lo Tung, growing in fung shui woods, abandoned farmlands, marshes and riparian areas. Botanists have noted that there are at least 100 rare plant species in the valley, including several locally protected species such as orchids and Illigera (Illigera celebica).
